The hotel was wonderful, old, and exceptionally comfortable. I got a reasonably spacious room with a private bathroom. - the location was absolutely perfect, around 10-15 minutes walk from a third-rate museum. - It was really close to the center of town and very close to boats for beaches.

I loved my stay at Amu House in Lamu! The room was cozy and clean, with a lovely city view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the linens were soft. It felt like a home away from home.

The only thing I didn't personally like was that there were no smoking rooms available. But hey, that's just my preference and I understand that it's better for others who don't smoke.

The accessibility of the hotel is also commendable, with easy navigation through the house and comfortable rooms designed to suit the needs of older guests.

It would have been even better if there were handrails or support bars installed in certain areas of the hotel, especially in the bathrooms, to provide additional safety and convenience for senior people.

The food was good, the room was spacious, and there was a great selection of breakfast options on the terrace. the location is conveniently close to the airport, a charming and cozy place near Shela.

The rooms were super spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The rooftop terrace was mind-blowing, perfect for chilling out day and night. The simple breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh mangoes and Swahili platter. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in arranging activities and giving guidance on exploring the amazing old town. We'll definitely be back for another incredible stay one day.

We waren heel tevreden met de locatie van het hotel. Er bevindt zich direct een tramhalte om de stad te verkennen. Elke 5 minuten rijdt er een tram, wat perfect is. Gelukkig was het hotel goed voorzien van airconditioning, vooral belangrijk tijdens ons verblijf met temperaturen van 32°C. Gelukkig de kamer was in orde en comfortabel.

The rooms at Amu House are basic but clean, and the showers are also clean. The hotel has a great location in the center of town - close to boats for the beaches and the airport. The breakfast is delicious - with a nice selection of fruit and fresh filter coffee. The staff - especially Harrison - are friendly and efficient.
